Ruben Amorim has no choice but to go full throttle tonight. Here's the predicted Man United lineup vs Tottenham in the Europa League final.
Well, Man United's entire season has been building up to one moment: the Europa League final. Despite a poor Premier League run, the Red Devils have the opportunity to return to where they belong, the Champions League. To achieve this, they must beat Tottenham tonight.
In fairness, Tottenham will also be questioning how they've been given the chance to qualify for the Champions League next week. But this place in Europe's upper echelon won't be at the forefront of Ange's or Amorim's mind, but instead, silverware will be.
Here's our predicted Man United lineup vs Tottenham in the Europa League final...
Predicted Man United lineup vs Tottenham in the Europa League final
GK: Andre Onana. Like it or lump it, Andre Onana will be between the sticks tonight. He's a mixed bag, so United fans hope he woke up on the right side of the bed this morning.
CB: Leny Yoro. In his first season with Man United, Leny Yoro could become a European champion. Sure, it's the Europa League, but that'd be pretty impressive going for the young Real Madrid target.
CB: Harry Maguire. Maguire has played in many big games, both for club and country. He's often the man for the big occasion, as United's run in this Europa League campaign has proven.
CB: Luke Shaw. Has the potential to become a two-time European champion tonight. Like Maguire, Shaw has had his fair share of run-outs in big games, he even scored for England in the EURO final.
RWB: Noussair Mazraoui. Continuing his run of outings, Mazraoui will be looking for another big display. In what has been an underwhelming season for the Red Devils, he's been one of the diamonds in the rough.
CM: Casemiro. Few Man United players won't be fazed by this occasion, but Casemiro is one of them. He played in a Champions League final every other week when he was at Real Madrid.
CM: Manuel Ugarte. Like Yoro, Ugarte could win European silverware in his first season with United. After being used on the bench last week, this is likely an indication he'll start tonight.
LWB: Patrick Dorgu. Started every available Europa League game since joining Man United; that won't change in the final.
RW: Amad Diallo. Like Bruno, Amad will have the ability to drop inside, in a fairly fluid attack as far as Amorim is concerned.
CF: Rasmus Hojlund. With Man United looking at forward options in the summer, this is a perfect opportunity for Hojlund to prove they don't need to replace him. He has a pretty impressive European record, after all.
LW: Bruno Fernandes. By far and away, Man United's best player this season. He's the reason they've ended up in this final, so his teammates must repay him by winning it.
