Manchester United faced FC Twente in the UEFA Europa League. During the match, defender Lisandro Martinez caught the eye with a great skill move under pressure.

Unfortunately, Man United could not secure a win for themselves in their first UEFA Europa League match of the season. They were held to a 1-1 draw against FC Twente, a disappointing result to say the least.

Christian Eriksen put the hosts ahead just after the half an hour mark. However, just after the hour mark, his goal was cancelled out by Twente forward Sam Lammers.

Man United were the better attacking side. They took 19 shots against Twente. However, unfortunately, they were not prolific in front of goal, which is a common theme for Erik ten Hag.

Regardless of the unfortunate result, Man United fans were treated to a fine and unexpected skill move from Lisandro Martinez.

Soccer fans on X (formerly Twitter) were quick to clip the skill and post a video of it. The video features Lisandro Martinez being pressured by two Twente players and holding onto the ball well.

A faint dummy of the ball and a slight drop of the shoulder was enough to see Lisandro Martinez out of danger. It was an impressive skill move and despite not being flashy, it got the job done.

This is all that Man United fans can ask of Lisandro Martinez. In situations were Man United were pressured on the ball, he remained calm. It is an underrated trait of Martinez which makes him one of the unsung heroes and under-the-rader players in the Premier League.

Lisandro Martinez has now started six games in all competitions for Manchester United. Considering he won Copa America in the summer and had extended holiday, this is an impressive return for the Butcher.
