A former Man United player has announced his retirement from professional football. He even mentioned Man United in his farewell speech.

Man United is the biggest sports entity in the world. It might not be the same squad as it was in the past Man United has remained the same massive club, garnering worldwide acclaim to this day.

So, naturally, Man United has seen many great players come and go. This has been at their detriment at times, since it's been hard to notice the under-the-radar talent until those players leave.

In many ways, a case of "right player at the wrong time" can be applied throughout Man United history. Regardless, Man United respect all of their former players the same.

Forgotten player mentions Man United in his retirement announcement

Publishing his retirement announcement to Instagram, Zoran Tosic mentioned Man United as one of his dream clubs. He had the pleasure of signing for Man United in 2009, making two Premier League appearances.

In his own words, Zoran Torsic said: "Unfortunately, all good things come to an end one day... As a kid, I dreamed of playing for Partizan, Serbia and Manchester United, and I was lucky enough to make my dreams come true at the age of 21."

Seeing this, it surprised me. In all honesty, I had forgotten about Zoran Torsic but it's great to see that he had a great career after leaving Man United.

Zoran Torsic never put a foot wrong in a Man United shirt. In fact, he arrived as a youngster with plenty of promise but he was only overshadowed by other Man United legends of the time.

Torsic will now step aside, having played for some incredible teams in Europe. Man United is the standout club in his CV but he remains a CSKA Moscow legend, having won the Russian Premier League on three separate occasions.
