Manchester United played its last game before the international break on Sunday, March 16, against Leicester City. The team secured an emphatic 3-0 win, which saw Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho, and Bruno Fernandes on the scoresheet. Now, coming back from the break, United find themselves with some important games ahead of them in the Premier League.

Nottingham Forest vs Manchester United, April 1

With the Red Devils having been knocked out of the FA Cup, their first match will come in the Premier League against Nottingham Forest. Although United don't have much to play for in the league, they will want to secure as many wins as possible in the latter stages of the season to show some improvements.

Manchester United will have some players back from injuries, as Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo are looking to make their comebacks. Ayden Heaven will also be looking to return after the youngster was subbed early last time out due to an injury.

Nottingham Forest currently sit third in the Premier League, four points behind Arsenal. The reverse fixture at Old Trafford saw Man United defeated 2-3. Forest have been flying high this season, with striker Chris Wood finding the back of the net on 18 occasions so far in the Premier League, one of which came against United.

Forest will be keen to get another win, especially with Champions League football on the line. They are five points ahead of Chelsea, who are fourth in the table. As the season approaches the final two months, Nottingham Forest will be looking for all the points they can get. Before the match with United, Forest have to face Brighton away in the FA Cup quarterfinals on March 29.

Manchester United vs Manchester City, April 6

The second installment of the Manchester Derby in the Premier League this season will take place at Old Trafford on the sixth of April. There is much to prove for both sides, as neither of them have had their best seasons.

United won 2-1 at the Etihad, following a late comeback where Amad showcased some superb talent. With Amad still out with an injury, the Red Devils have to turn elsewhere for a magical performance. Bruno Fernandes scored a penalty against City, which tied the game, and he'll want to get another goal against their rivals at home.

Meanwhile, Manchester City have two matches before facing United, one against Bournemouth in the FA Cup and the other against Leicester in the Premier League. The ten-time Premier League champions sit fifth in the table, one point behind Chelsea. Guardiola's side have already been knocked out of the Champions League, which leaves just the FA Cup trophy to play for in terms of silverware.

City will want to gain points in the Premier League and hope that Chelsea drop points, in order for them to sneak into the top four and secure a spot in the Champions League next season, without having to rely on the extra spot for top performances in Europe. Europa League football will not be Guardiola's preference for his side.
