Alejandro Garnacho could be Manchester United's big-money sale this month amid Napoli showing interest in the Argentine winger. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is on the brink of leaving Naples for Paris Saint-Germain, putting the Serie A giants under pressure to find a replacement.

The Red Devils' Garnacho is reportedly their top target to replace Kvaratskhelia and he's said to be open to a move to the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium. Italian outlet Gazzetta La Gazzetta dello Sport (via centredevils) reports that the 20-year-old's salary demands aren't an issue.

However, United are demanding £67 million for Garnacho while Antonio Conte's Azzurri are only willing to bid around £38 million (including bonuses). This puts a potential deal in limbo but the suggestion of the winger being open to the move is a significant step towards a transfer.

If Garnacho leaves Ruben Amorim will need to be backed not next summer but in the January transfer window. Finances are tight at Old Trafford (Sir Jim Ratcliffe has made that abundantly clear) so perhaps a short-term fix could be used at a low fee before an anticipated summer of hefty rebuilding conducted by INEOS.

Manchester United Should Go For Tottenham's Son Heung-min

It's fair to say Son Heung-min hasn't quite been at his best this season amid a frustrating campaign under Ange Postecoglou. The South Korean has managed five goals and six assists in 17 Premier League games.

The intriguing part of a potential swoop for Son, 32, is that his contract expires at the end of the season. This means he'd likely be available at a cut-price deal this month and Spurs could be willing to listen given his inconsistent starting role under Postecoglou this term.

Son might be the Lilywhites' captain but he's not their main man at present. He could be open to a move elsewhere to get his shooting boots back on and Old Trafford would be the perfect destination.

For Manchester United it would be an excellent coup to sign a player of Son's experience at a low fee. He's a former Premier League Golden Boot winner who thrives out on the left but cuts inside to give the opposition problems, a trait that Amorim requires from his two attackers behind the central striker.

Manchester United View Son As A 'Viable Target'

Manchester United do have a legitimate interest in Son and this makes a potential deal that much more likely. GIVEMESPORT reports that the Red Devils view the veteran attacker as a 'viable target'.

Garnacho isn't the only United forward whose future is in doubt. Marcus Rashford is also heavily linked with an exit and his representatives have held talks with several clubs from abroad over a potential January exit.

Rashford's departure is likely to be a loan rather than a sale because of his hefty purported £300,000 per week wages. This again means a replacement is required should not only Garnacho leave but also the England international.
