Anfield was stunned and so were Liverpool fans, but Liverpool fought back to a famous comeback when Nigel Clough’s brace before halftime set the tone for a thrilling second half. 2. Liverpool 2-0 Manchester United (January 2020)
Liverpool’s long awaited march to their first Premier League title was marked by this dominant victory over Manchester United to close on the United’s record league tally. Virgil van Dijk opened the scoring with a towering header early on, setting the tone for a commanding Liverpool performance. Despite United’s attempts to fight back, Liverpool was the better team on the day as they looked set for a win before Mohamed Salah’s late breakaway goal sealed the result, sending Anfield wild. 2. Liverpool 1-2 Manchester United (March 2015)
United went to Anfield in the late part of the season when Juan Mata produced a performance worth remembering for ages in this brilliant clash. The Spaniard opened the scoring with a clever finish before delivering a moment of magic in the second half. Mata’s acrobatic volley, following Angel Di Maria’s delicate lob over Liverpool’s defence, silenced Anfield and earned him the nickname ‘Juanfield’ for his brilliant outing that day. Although Liverpool did pull one back through Daniel Sturridge but were unable to get back into the game. The game also saw Steven Gerrard getting a quick red card for a challenge on Ander Herrera, moments after coming at halftime. Mata’s brilliance made this a game to remember and earned Red Devil Dispatch’s approval on the list.

4. Liverpool 0-1 Manchester United (December 2007)
A fiercely contested game saw Manchester United edge past Liverpool in a vital Premier League clash. Carlos Tevez scored the decisive goal following a clever Wayne Rooney assist. Liverpool pushed for an equalizer, but United’s defensive pairing stood firm, led by Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic at the heart of Manchester United’s defence. The match had everything: end-to-end action, battles at both ends and the intensity befitting of such a rivalry. In the end, it was United who came out victorious from Anfield.
