Hannibal Mejbri transfer-linked to club Manchester United recently beat

Manchester United are currently active in pre-season. The Red Devils most recently secured themselves a win against Scottish opposition Rangers. It was the first time that Man United fans saw their wonderkid Hannibal Mejbri in action after returning from a La Liga loan spell.

At the beginning of last season, there was plenty of optimism about Hannibal Mejbri. The academy graduate scored his first senior goal for Manchester United in an important Premier League game against Brighton and Hove Albion. The incredible performance from the bench led many to believe that he would be the next big thing in the Man United lineup but they were sadly mistaken.

Half way through the 2023/24 campaign, Hannibel Mejbri was sent out on loan to Spain, where he was given a chance by Sevilla. Sevilla signed Mejbri on a 6 month loan with an option to buy for €20m but they didn't take up their option.

According to a new report from Africafoot, Rangers were impressed by the great display Hannibel Mejbri put in during the pre-season friendly between Rangers and Man United. So much so that Rangers have now requested the loan signing of Hannibal Mejbri, who is entering the final year of his contract, set to expire in 2025.

Hannibal Mejbri is a great number 10 who plays with plenty of creativity and purpose. Routinely bombing forward with the ball at his feet, he is capable of playing neat passes into pockets of space, which could certainly benefit Rangers who wish to reclaim the Premiership from the dominant Celtic.

Mejbri also received a proposal by Copenhagen but rumour has it, the Tunisia international is not completely sold by the Danish club's proposal. It remains to be seen whether he's open to joining Rangers instead.
