Manchester United have had a brilliant summer transfer window. Erik ten Hag has strengthened in key areas and brought in a handful of potentially world-class players. This is excellent, since Man United have aspirations of climbing the table by finishing in the top four. It is an achievable goal given their summer additions.
However, it is not good news for everyone. After all, every transfer has a ripple effect and there is certainly a domino chain at Manchester United. The summer overhaul which was perfectly excuted by Erik ten Hag does render a few Man United players as surplus to requirements.

According to Fabrizio Romano on X (formerly Twitter), Facundo Pellistri is set to join Greek side Panathinaikos on a permant deal. The Manchester United youngster will play under his countryman Diego Alonso, who is believed to be a key factor in the deal.

The good news for Manchester United is they have not completely let go of Pellistri, In fact, they still have some financial rights over him, since they have smartly included a sell-on clause, which they will receive for any potential transfer fee the Greek side pick up for him in the future.
Pellistri is just 22 years old and has his entire future ahead of him. The right move was to leave Man United and from the club's perspective, it's good that they accepted this reality and swallowed their pride by selling him permanently, rather than a pointless loan move.
Pellistri leaves Man United having made 13 Premier League appearances. Without a doubt, he will be a star for the future, it just wasn't to be for him in Manchester ultimately.
