Christian Eriksen was linked with a transfer away from Man United in the summer. Now, he has spoken openly about leaving Man United.

Man United are currently in good spirits. They have won their last two games, scoring ten goals and conceding zero in their last two outings.

In their most recent win against Barnsley, Christian Eriksen proved his worth to Erik ten Hag. In a game which was reminiscent of Eriksen in his prime, he controlled the game well.

In fact, Eriksen provided one assist and scored two late goals, capping off a five-star display from the Dane.

So, how does Christian Eriksen feel about leaving Man United? Well, his comments after the match have revealed all fans need to know...

Christian Eriksen speaks openly about leaving Man United

According to Chris Wheeler of the Daily Mail, Christian Eriksen himself has admitted to being happy at Man United. He says that he would leave if he was told to, but that discourse has not been communicated to him.

In his own words, Eriksen said: "I feel very good being at United. If they told me to leave I would leave, but I didn’t hear that. I’m also a guy who likes being in a place where my family is settled and where I can benefit and play, that’s always going to be my aim."

Christian Eriksen is now 32 years old. If his performance against Barnsley proved anything, it's that he is still more than capable of playing at the top level.

Eriksen is one of a few authority figures at Man United. His experience is pivotal to the club, particularly as they look to mentor their younger players into star roles.

Needless to say, his technical ability has not changed at all throughout his career. While he may have lost a yard or two of pace with age, Eriksen is still capable of producing magic with the ball at his feet.
