Three players for Manchester United to sign to replace Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is now on his way out of Manchester United, as West Ham United appear to be committed to signing him. As per Fabrizio Romano, the Hammers are not willing to give up on the English defender, since they wish to sign him from Old Trafford this summer.

From Manchester United's perspective, they would be losing an incredible defender. Needless to say, he's had his injury concerns during his time at Old Trafford but nobody can deny his quality on the pitch.

In fact, from a solely defensive standpoint, he is one of the best full-backs in the league. It's a shame he plays during an era whereby defending isn't at the top of a full-back's list of desired qualities.

1. Jeremie Frimpong

Perhaps the most luxury player on this list, Manchester United should consider signing Jeremie Frimpong of Bayer Leverkusen. The Netherlands international has achieved incredible success with Celtic, winning the treble there, and now Bayer Leverkusen, whereby he won the Bundesliga last season without losing a single game, an incredible feat.

Jeremie Frimpong is a different player to Wan-Bissaka, whereby he is more attacking than defensive. He is great at taking on opposing players, with quick feet. This could be what Man United need, particularly to improve their creativity from wide positions.

2. Vanderson

Vanderson has been on Man United's radar before, so his name will ring a bell to few Man United supporters. The young full-back is an excellent transfer market opportunity and signing him now would be the best option for Man United to secure the best price.

Like Wan-Bissaka, Vanderson has a great aggressive defensive style. He is seen to lunge into tackles and he wins back the ball well. There are some positional disciplinary issues to fix, but Erik ten Hag has plenty of time, with Vanderson ageing at just 23 years old.

3. Julian Ryerson

We have presented an attacking option and a defensive option, now let's provide a jack of all trades. Julian Ryerson of Borussia Dortmund is our next option.

He is entering the final two years of his contract and after impressing at Borussia Dortmund, is not going to be let go of easily. However, the full-back who impresses both offensively and defensively could be sold for the right price. After all, Borussia Dortmund have a reputation for being a selling club.
