Chelsea's recruitment team just don't know when to call it a day and they are once again in the market for a new winger. This is despite the arrivals of Jadon Sancho, Joao Felix and Pedro Neto last summer, who joined a squad already consisting of Noni Madueke, Mykhailo Mudryk and Cole Palmer.
Alejandro Garnacho is reportedly on the Blues' radar amid his Manchester United future looking increasingly in doubt. Fabrizio Romano reports that the west Londoners have made an approach for the Argentine winger, who has also spoken to Antonio Conte about a move to Napoli.
Anything less than £70 million shouldn't even be entertained if offered by Chelsea. Selling an academy graduate to a rival Premier League club would be ridiculous and put even more eyes on INEOS' questionable co-ownership.
If the Blues are so eager to sign Garnacho than we should demand Manchester United fan Palmer in return. It's an extremely unlikely swap deal but one that would potentially be the turning point for the club under Ruben Amorim.
Chelsea, You Can Have Garnacho If You Give Us Palmer

Todd Boehly appears to have some sort of winger addiction, given the constant transfers Chelsea have made to bolster out wide. Sancho is on loan at Stamford Bridge although it's inevitable he'll permanently join the club for £25 million because of an obligation to do so if they finish above 14th, per Romano.
Enzo Maresca's squad is getting way too stacked with wingers and United will be more than happy to help them ensure they are complying with PSR. They can take Garnacho, who has endured a topsy-turvy season and in return we'll bring Palmer back to Manchester but to the club he grew up idolising.
Palmer, 22, is, for many, the best attacker in the Premier League at the moment. The England international is flourishing in West London, bagging 14 goals and six assists in 22 Premier League games.
Chelsea won't sell Palmer, who is contracted until 2033, nor entertain a swap for Garnacho that much is clear. But what if United were to put out feelers to the player who worshipped Wayne Rooney during his childhood? He may feel enticed to be Ruben Amorim's leading man and to guide the Red Devils out of their gloomy period.

Chelsea aren't in that much of a superior situation than Man United
There are huge similarities between Manchester United this season and Chelsea two seasons ago. The Blues were struggling and went through six different managers after sacking Thomas Tuchel in September 2022. They ended the campaign with Frank Lampard and in dire form, finishing 12th.
The Red Devils are in a similar situation although just the three managers rather than six. Amorim is going nowhere and INEOS will back the Portuguese coach. But there's scary similarities to Chelsea of 2023, with the club in the bottom half of the table and performing poorly against most clubs they come up against.
Palmer was willing to join the Blues during one of their periods. A dream move to United is just that for the Old Trafford faithful but Boehly's transfer obsession means anything is possible at Stamford Bridge.
