The Athletic reports that Mount has been a standout performer in training. His ability to recover the ball and press high perfectly fits Amorim's idea of an aggressive style of play.
Mount is talented, but injuries have prevented him from making an impact since joining United. He has yet to prove himself worthy of the £60 million fee paid to Chelsea in 2023, and there are doubts about his ability to get back to his previous level of play and make a substantial contribution to the squad. Amorim's presence, nevertheless, might provide a spark for change.
