Manchester United are reportedly considering making a January loan move for Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani. The French forward has been struggling for game time at the Parc des Princes and appears to be available for transfer.

Reliable German journalist Christopher Michel reports that the Red Devils are pondering a loan move. This will allow the club to bring a goalscorer to Old Trafford without spending a significant fee. He's made just 12 appearances this season, two as a starter with two goals.

Manchester United's current striking options are Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee. Neither have impressed so far this season. New head coach Ruben Amorim has just got started and will be able to get his own conclusions over the attacking duo.

Randal Kolo Muani could arrive at Manchester United on loan

Kolo Muani joined PSG from Eintracht Frankfurt in September 2023 for a staggering €95 million. He arrived just after a prominent role in France's 2022 FIFA World Cup squad, managing one goal and an assist at the tournament in Qatar.

The Frenchman appeared 40 times across competitions in his debut season with the Parisians, posting nine goals and six assists. It wasn't the kind of form Luis Enrique expected from the big-money signing, and attacking midfielder Marco Asensio has been preferred up top this season.

This has led to doubts over Kolo Muani's long-term future at PSG and talk of a potential move to the Premier League. Manchester United were linked while Erik ten Hag was in charge and it appears INEOS' interest hasn't subsided.

Randal Kolo Muani would be an interesting alternative to Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee

Kolo Muani's potential loan capture brings with it question marks over Hojlund and Zirkzee. The latter has dissapointed since arriving from Bologna in the summer and is already linked with a move back to Serie A.

Hojlund is the Red Devils' most expensive U21 signing in history and the club will likely want to give the Dane time and patience. He arrived from Atalanta last summer in August 2023 for €73.9 million and managed 16 goals and two assists in 43 games across competitions.

Red Devil Armada Verdict

Manchester United are screaming out for goals, and signing Kolo Muani on loan would be a cost-effective move that could be hugely beneficial. A permanent switch would be questionable given other problem areas, including left-back, but a loan for the PSG man makes sense.
