Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Serie A clubs are ready to swoop in and sign Rasmus Hojlund, if Man United decide to sell the striker to fund other transfers.

Rasmus Hojlund has flown under the radar since signing for Man United. Of course, he is often trolled by rival fans for not living up to the standard, but Man United fans beg to differ. The Danish striker has hardly been bad, in fact, he has improved the overall attacking philosophy at Old Trafford, he just hasn't set the world alight in terms of goals.

Playing for Man United comes with a huge expectation. This is especially the case where an investment is made. Unfortunately, Man United hasn't seen a world-class striker in some time, so this position has much more scrutiny attached to it.

So, where does Rasmus Hojlund go from here? He is a young player with all the minerals required to achieve. However, he is playing for a club which is going through its toughest period in history, so he has a big decision on his hands.

Not only does Hojlund have a big decision on his hands, but Man United as a club must make a decision too. Hojlund is one of the biggest assets in Manchester right now, so the Red Devils could recuperate some money to fund a different transfer if they wish.

On that, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Hojlund will receive interest from abroad if he is sold. Unsurprisingly, clubs in Italy (where Hojlund first made a name for himself) are interested in bringing him in.

Now, whether or not Manchester United decides to sell Rasmus Hojlund could depend massively on what happens between now and the end of the season. The Red Devils are still within a fighting shot of winning the Europa League, which would enable them to qualify for the Champions League next season.

As proven, Hojlund is great on the European stage. Therefore, the striker could play a pivotal role in securing Champions League football in, frankly, an underwhelming season for United. If he does this, then this would almost certainly boost his pedigree and potentially keep him within a shot of keeping his red jersey.

Nevertheless, we cannot deny that a return to Italy would be appealing to Hojlund, since this is where he holds his best career memories so far.
