The Daily Mail reports Erik ten Hag, who was in the Manchester United dugout for about two and a half years, was photographed dining at an Italian restaurant called Piccoliono in Hale Village. He was not alone, accompanied by Bianca, his wife. The 54-year-old indulged in nostalgia while revisiting Manchester, reflecting on cherished memories of his time in England.

Reports suggest that the couple spent most of the time organizing and clearing out their possessions from their mansion in Cheshire before heading to Piccoliono for supper. The former Red Devils manager had a habit of visiting the Italian restaurant, and the couple had previously been seen dining there after clinching the FA Cup in the final against Manchester City in May last season.

Ten Hag likely felt a range of emotions upon revisiting Manchester. His Manchester United tenure was a bundle of both highs and tormenting lows. It came to a sad but inevitable conclusion after several disappointing results, including a 14th-place finish in the league and no win in the Europa League.

Despite winning the FA Cup last season, he was removed from his position as Manchester United's head coach after the 2-1 loss against West Ham. As Ten Hag returned to Manchester on a family dine-in to his favorite restaurant.

On the other hand, Manchester United has already begun working under new head coach Ruben Amorim, who conducted his first training session with the team at Carrington earlier this week. The Portuguese coach is tasked with trying to turn the club’s disappointing season around and helping them finish in the top 4, with his first test being an away fixture at Portman Road against Ipswich Town on Sunday. The fans hope that the 39-year-old will replicate what he did at Sporting CP and bring the glory days back to the red side of Manchester.

As for Ten Hag, the Dutchman would take some time off and reflect on his time in United. He was recently rumored to have been linked with the Roma job, but this was eventually dismissed when the Serie A giants appointed Claudio Ranieri for a third time.
