Amad Diallo is the man of the moment at Manchester United amid a season to remember for the Ivorian winger. He was failing to get a look in under former manager Erik ten Hag but has become the team's talisman under Ruben Amorim.

The Red Devils were poor against Southampton on Thursday (January 16), 1-0 down heading into the last 10 minutes of the game. That was until Amad came to the fore as he did against Manchester City (2-1 win) and Liverpool (2-2 draw) and pulled off a phenomenal 12-minute hat-trick.

His first strike was well taken but his second was an incredible show of trickery and footballing IQ. A neat one-two with Christian Eriksen put him through on goal and he dinked the ball with his left foot past Aaron Ramsdale.

The third was because of his undeniable desire to be first to the ball. He pounced on a lapse in concentration from the Saints' Taylor Harwood-Bellis to get his first senior hat-trick with United.

Amad's brilliant hat-trick was the third fastest in Manchester United's history. He took 12 minutes to bag his three goals.

It's a minute less than second-placed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took to bag a hat-trick in 1999 against Nottingham Forest. The iconic Norweigan striker actually managed four goals in 12 minutes against the Tricky Trees which is some feat.

Teddy Sheringham is the fastest to net a hat-trick in the club's history. The legendary English frontman managed this feat coincidentally against Southampton in 2000.

Amad continues to leave his mark this season and pull United out of murky waters. His exploits against the Saints moved the Red Devils up to 12th.

"One of the best weeks of my life" - Amad on a week to remember in Manchester United colors

Amad's first senior hat-trick came amid the Ivory Coast international commiting his future to the club. He signed a new five-and-a-half-year deal on January 9, keeping him tied to Old Trafford until 2030.

The young attacker was also on target in United's dramatic penalty shootout win over Arsenal to advance to the fourth round of the FA Cup. He'd starred against Liverpool with a vital equalizer the week before.

Amad touched on his recent success (via TNT Sports):

"In football you have to believe. We believed until the end and are very happy to win this game. We drew with Arsenal and Liverpool so the confidence was there. We are very happy. Maybe one of the best weeks in my life. I am very happy for this win. This team deserved to win this game so I am very happy."
